Why coaching?

Change is hard—even positive change. It's especially hard when you go it alone. Having a coach along on your journey to better health means you'll have someone to encourage you, challenge you and help you harness your strength.

How it works

The BSW BeWell™ Coaching program offers a meaningful, one-on-one experience that is tailored to fit your needs, helping you to achieve your personal best.

Your assigned coach will walk you through a 16-week, curriculum-based program divided into eight sessions. You'll meet every one to two weeks via the Healthie app. The program includes:

All at no additional cost to you!

I appreciated the tips to make my eating habits better. I was having a hard time understanding the labels however, it was broken down for me and I was given other tools to use to help me track my calories.

I felt the program was very clear and easy to follow. My coach did a great job of answering any questions that I had during and after our sessions, including sending me follow-up information for a question I had in Session 4.

My coach was very good at explaining resources and talking through ways to help get me motivated, being more mindful of my eating habits as well as tracking my food and water intake.

My coach was able to guide me back to the information and tools that I had used in the past and provided new info and tools. She gave gentle nudges as we moved along and because of that I now have better eating habits and schedule my workouts and "me time" in the morning. I would definitely suggest this program to others.

Choosing the right time to start a change is important to consider. Sooner is always best, but sometimes of the year are harder than others to make positive changes (i.e. holiday season). That it's ok to modify goals or timeline if it's not working - better than giving up!

The program and my coach was awesome! They made it all so easy and interesting!

The last 16 weeks have been extremely beneficial. I met my goal and took on several new positive habits to reduce stress, including physical activity, being out in nature and journaling.

I really enjoyed this program, it was very helpful in assisting with different techniques to help with my problems. There was a lot of information given that I found very useful, things I never realized I was doing until this program. My coach was awesome and very helpful, I enjoyed their knowledge, suggestions and insight.

I felt that my coach was my biggest cheerleader during these last few weeks. They cheered me on when I was successful and continued to cheer me on. During the process, my family and I went on a cruise. I found it much easier to make healthy decisions and portions. I really enjoyed working with my coach.

It was really good discussing my condition in a setting where I didn't feel judged. I wish I had this experience earlier in my journey to have helped me understand and been more comfortable discussing my diabetes with others.

No old habits, just still trying to keep snacks available for the busy days when I don't have time to eat lunch. My coach was very helpful.

I have started exercising and actually joined the gym. At this moment I am attending 4 to 5 days out of the week and workout for 90 mins. I am more aware of my food intake and learned that I should eat more fiber, protein, fruits and vegetables.

I enjoyed and looked forward to my meetings with my coach. They were amazing! Always so positive and motivating. They even sent addition things to me, like recipes or work out suggestions. It was great! And the benefits ($0 copays on diabetic meds) make it a really hard opportunity to miss. I have had diabetes for a long while. It was a nice refresher for information. The information was presented in a way that was easy to understand.

I was surprised about the nutritional breakdown; I didn't expect the required amount of carbs to be so high. I try to limit carbs because to me carbs = blood sugar, I didn't think of them as the way my body gets fuel.
